The Manufacturing Engineering Manager provides leadership and support to the manufacturing engineering department, which includes mechanical, chemical, electrical/automation engineers and other disciplines as needed to align with the business strategy.  Primary responsibilities include:  Developing and implementing department strategies, policies, procedures, budget and goals.  Implements, monitors and controls capital programs.  This position requires a thorough knowledge of engineering principles and theories and their application. The Engineering Manager pursues projects which are complex in nature and require unique and innovative solutions. They usually involve interaction with other disciplines or may require a high level of specialized expertise. This includes working withinternal and external resources, including contractors, consultants, universities, etc. Essential Functions Personnel Development - Provide training, experiential opportunities and regular feedback for manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, product designers and other team members, which allow them the best opportunities for personal and professional growth.  Develop new employees to meet the needs of the business as it is today and what is needed to maintain a competitive edge in the future.  Set individual objectives, develop metrics in harmony with strategic objectives and ensure team members have the tools needed for successful implementation of objectives. Process Improvement - Lead initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce cost by continuously improving existing processes or creating new ones. Select and implement new projects and technology to support these process improvements utilizing WCM methodology.  Project Management - Through subordinates, maintain, improve and control processes and equipment, including improvement of EHS conditions within the site.  Manage the transition of prototypes into production. Direct and manage the implementation of capital investments associated with the physical facility and equipment. Develop and manage the annual capital investment pipeline of about $1.5M. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline required Master's degree in Engineering, Business or related field preferred 5-7 years' experience in personnel management, technology implementation and project management required 2-5 years' of relevent manufacturing engineering management experience in a specialty chemical operation with complex made-to-order assemblies preferred High level of material knowledge, specifically chemical, mechanical and electrical process design and optimization Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and theories and their applications Green Belt and WCM/Continuous Improvement certifications preferred Ability to mentor and develop workforce.  Organize motivate and guide team to reach objectives.  Provide feedback and advice. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
