The Digital Services and Instruction Librarian provides leadership in technology, instruction, open educational resources, and reference services for the Hiram College Library and its users.
The position's primary responsibilities include coordinating electronic resource management, managing the library's website, supporting faculty open educational resources searches, and participating in a dynamic information literacy program to support the college's learning goals.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Manages and maintains the library's website using a Content Management System (LibGuides).
Coordinates all aspects of Electronic Resource Management including:
Subscription services.
Maintaining statistics and providing relevant reports.
Implementing and maintaining the discovery service (EDS-EBSCO Discovery Service) to ensure that resources are accessible.
Collection development of eResources in conjunction with the Library Director.
Serves as a liaison to academic programs and/or schools by supporting collection development, instruction in information literacy, and maintaining faculty contacts.
Leads the planning, implementation, and assessment of the library's information literacy program in conjunction with the Library Director and other library staff.
Represents the library on the EResources Information Team for OhioLINK and as primary contact to other relevant consortia or vendors regarding eResources or technology.
Provides proactive technology solutions for the library including enhancing access, modifying resources, and improving user experience.
Develops and maintains positive relationships and open communications with the campus and surrounding community to further the library's strategic directions and goals in conjunction with the Library Director and other library staff.
Serves as a member of the College's Affordable Course Materials team and supports faculty searching for Open Educational Resources or library materials to reduce the cost of course materials.
Participates in professional, library, and college service and engagement activities as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge Ability to interact effectively and work productively, cooperatively, and collaboratively within a diverse community.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally, and in writing, to diverse audiences.
Ability to use technology in creative ways to solve problems and/or facilitate workflows.
Demonstrated knowledge of current library trends with an emphasis on technology, electronic publishing, and information literacy.
Ability to plan, implement, market, and assesses the library's information literacy and instruction initiatives in conjunction with the Library Director and other library staff.
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve library users' technology and access issues in coordination with campus IT staff and consortia staff as needed.
Must be self-directed, well organized, able to meet multiple deadlines, and able to take a flexible approach to a rapidly changing environment.
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new skills to support the library's goals is required.
Familiarity with integrated library system software, especially Sierra, preferred.
Familiarity with implementation and maintenance of a discovery service (e.
g EDS-EBSCO Discovery Service or similar), proxy software, and OpenURL resolvers preferred.
Familiarity with LibGuides or another web content management system is preferred.
Familiarity with Moodle or another LMS is preferred.
Experience and Education 1-3 years of professional experience in a library setting preferred.
Experience working with integrated library system software, especially Sierra, preferred.
Experience working with LibGuides or another web content management system is preferred.
Master's Degree (MLS, MLIS, or equivalent) from an ALA-accredited university is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
